Is imam ahmed the greatest ruler in the Horn of Africa ?

Yes he was born in hubaat a somali town now part of oromia and the locals have a karanle abtirsi of the imam. Still i wouldn't call that an absolute proof rather it's highly likely and i personally lean towards it. For me to fully believe this i would need a document of at least the late 19th century stating the full name of the imam and his ethnicity.

The greatest Harari scholar Ahmed Sami that produced the concise manuscript of Harar in his “fatah medinat harar” for several European institutions has the imams lineage as Karanle Hawiye.

The books of the greatest Ethiopian historian and Haile selassi’s right hand man when it comes to history, mekuria is taught in univerisities in Addis, Amharas who have studied the book mention the historian Mekuria is one of their biggest countrys treasure, he refused a CIA offer to retire in the US when Mengistu took over. Mekuria writes about all Ethiopian History including Axum and Nubia. He is so respected that German historians have used him as a source when they worked on the identity of the imam and the Melassy.

Why don't the vast majority call him somali though, i was reading a thread awhile back on here and on twitter where some were saying he was oromo others afar. Is it because theres not much written stuff about him ?
Check my posts below. Amhara, Harari, German and Arab scholars have written about the imams lineage. He is well documented alhamdullilah. It’s our job as Somalis to respect the works of the scholars and historians.

I’ve heard Ethiopian/arab/European and even harari claiming he is Somali from karanle tribe . I think that’s enough proof from the scholars
I won't blame you and you're not necessary wrong to believe that it's just we have different criteria of assessment.

How do you know who lives in Hubat and their abtirsi?
Well for one hubat is a somali name and the area is inhabited by oromo speaking somalis and oromos now you tell me the rest. If you were to go back 500 hundred years back somalis would be the only inhabitants.

When i say the locals have a karanle abtirsi i don't mean the locals of hubat but that of hararghe. Varies somali elders living in somali galbeed and somalia include the imam into the karanle family tree and an ethiopian researcher also recorded a karanle abtirsi of the imam in hararghe. Give me another non-somali abtirsi of the imam by hararis, habashis or arabs.

You misunderstood me sxb. I'm questioning Hubat's existence. And if it exists who are the people living in Hubat Town/village today? Do you have any evidence whether written or visual proving Hubat's existence today?

Darood Mj sister using Arabic source (Leyla. Sabaq) that clearly states Karanle as the imam’s tribe. The original text is in Damascus.

As for writing evidence hubat was mentioned in futux. I also remember reading about an anthropologist or an explorar being told by an cisse that the imam was born in a near by place called hubat. In terms of visual evidence we've got an old map and a modern map both of whom agrees with each other on the location of hubat.

@Garaad diinle
I have seen people saying Hubat exists today and Oromized Karanle live in there.
I heard and read all sorts of stuff. I've heard that gurgura live there i've also heard that madigaan and karanle live there. I hear issa and other daroods live there. Here i'm talking about the southern borders of sitti and hararghe including the location said to be hubat. All i know is that the place is home to oromo speaking somalis and oromos.

Hobat is at Erer Yarey, near Kora between Babile & Harar. Hobat is still called Hobat till this day and hardly anything has changed

The entire region is predominantly settled by karanle since the days of Ifat in the 13th century till this day.

Hawiye and Karanle are buried in Qundhura. Some historians believe this is the actual Hobat. Old medieval masjid abd structures are being discovered and the place is going currently through archeological research

The feral horses at this place is believed to have been the once used during the wars.

Marehan live in Harar, and Babile, maybe also Hobat. It's one thing to know whether the Imam was Karanle it's quite another thing to know his abtirsi and his male Y haplogroup lineage.
He will have the same Y DNA lineage as his father Ibrahim who’s descendants are known today as Reer Ibrahim. His honourable father whose descendants formed a powerful tarika sect in the 19th century. I want to test this sub clan so badly and compare them to mine.

Here is the reference from the book

Imagine during siyaad barre war of Ethiopia 1970s we were known as jabhada imam Axmed Gurey and today people are guessing which family the imam is from with all the sources and the internet being available

Pagan, Christianity, Islam leaders
Does imam Ahmed rank above everyone else ?
I’ve seen Christians even claim him as well as every Muslim tribes in Horn of Africa.

I don’t think there is no leader who has this much fame as imam ahmed even Selassie apparently had of dream of him :dead:
Are you Sixawle?
