Damn the only one I know is my late grandmother. Yeah it's rare to see traditional Somali names. How come south Asian Muslims are good at keeping their traditional names is it because of our geographical poisition being so close to the gulf?

Same here, my name is traditional, I think, and I'm the only one I know with that name. But I would take it over those typical, overkill names Somalis tend to name their kids any day of the week.
