Is it war criminal Siilanyo's fault that Mogadishu is ahead of Hargeisa now?

Mogadishu infrastructure is improving rapidly. Were's in Hargeisa the merger cash we get is stolen

Have you noticed significant stagnation, Duke? Do think this is by design, or merely a consequence of corruption or perhaps both?

No this guy is just a die hard habar yonis. He hates Silanyo because Silanyo is habar jeclo. If cirro wins the elections he would not give a flying monkey about whether cirro should have strippers snorting coke in the presidential office or not since cirro is habar yonis like him

Both. We know Hargeisa or Somaliland in general gets less aid than Mogadishu, however it doesn't help either that the little we
get is stolen by Siilanyo and the fat cats that call themselves ministers... if there was management perhaps Hargeisa could
have had proper roads as well.

My fellow Isaaq I have a confession to make. Recently I have become pro union. I support somaliland existing as an Isaaq power base which we use to negotiate the sweetest federalism deal yet seen. I would want somaliland to be a "mamul gobaleed" and we should be the regional state that countrols all of Somalia military/security affairs since we already have the strongest somali armed forces out of Puntland and the south put together.

Mismanagement of funds is the norm across Somalia and many developing nations. I don't think people would complain as much if they had better access to education and employment. I do find it strange that people with money in Africa live in estates. If I had money the last thing I would do is faan faan with a huge compound that is difficult to maintain and creates animosity from the people. This isn't practical, nor is it the like the ancien régime you would find in pre-revolution France. I think the people have been pacified by war over two and a half decades ago and don't want instability to ensue which is why they don't express their disdain with these practices of - money hoarding by overthrowing politicians. I also think another push back in Somaliland is having to pay off tribes just to start a manufacturing industry in certain places. It's a headache from what I've heard and puts a cap on development.

want It's

That is true but mismanagement in Somali areas is on another level. At least in other African countries they have corruption but they
also get lots of infrastructure projects done as to not attract attention to their dark activities. I think it is to do with the fact Somalis
back-home have low standards rather than being afraid of criticizing the situation in their lands. I agree it does not make sense
living in big estates when your average citizen lacks clean water. Have you noticed the multi million buildings being opened
in Hargeisa such as the ministry of commerce, ministry of education etc being opened all the time when Hargeisa has no
paved roads and the average citizen in Somaliland lacks clean water. They got their priorities messed up far up their ass...
and that is the reality. If people in Somaliland thought like me and you , Somaliland would have developed rapidly longtime ago.

If they don't change their ways there will be a tipping point where people will eventually feel the need to change. At the moment, they are pacified and made docile by the widespread indulgence in khat by the citizens of Somaliland, probably used as an escape from the bitter reality. Hence, their lack of proactive political participation. It's a shame the citizens have low standards and don't demand anything except for a semblance of stability in the country and the illusion of progress with the fancy buildings. However, in terms of OECD indicators they should be ashamed across the whole of Somalia - poor sanitation/lack of access to clean water, low literacy rates, high unemployment, high infant mortality rates, limited access to basic medical care/emergency medicine (you might as well learn to suture your own wounds or set broken bones). They have misplaced priorities for sure.

O Isaaq, come to the city of milk and honey.
Xamar can use good cleaners!

Xamar can use good old Isaaq players from hargeisa and burco I heard we haven't been paying your ladies a visit since the civil war. When we do come we'll get back to our shenanigans and treat your stacked up ladies like the cars they are known to be :gnzbryw:

You hit the nail on the head. Yes khat enables people to live in their own bubble, it is another problem. A man will think he is sleeping in a apartment when he is actually sleeping on a dirt road with flooded water when high on khat. However the youth are actually getting educated more nowadays and a lot of them don't chew khat that much compared to the oldies. This year in the summer I was at Hargeisa, there is was this shop I use to buy things from, so one day I asked the cashier why there is no paved roads in Hargeisa and why is there loads of trash on the road. He conceded that local government barely exists and that the government actually steals the taxes collected instead of using it to fix Hargeisa roads. So it was a sign of relief that a lot of people are actually waking up to the reality. Lol as the suturing your own wounds, funnily enough you reminded me when I was in Burco I was looking for a pharmacy that sells finger bandage and guess what the so called pharmacies don't even sell bandages. I was like how are you going to call this place a pharmacy when it lacks the basics, they think expired pills make up a pharmacy.
