Forget somali rivers bro, Thames is only comparable to like indian rivers like Ganges. In victorian times the city smelled like shit because of the river pollution and cholera.

It’s been a dumping ground for waste for centuries .There was the great stink in the Victorian era it stunk so bad bruh

Look up the Great Stink of 1858. The British dumped so much poop into the river Thames that clouds of stinking vapor were emanating from the river. Curtains had to be soaked in lime chloride to hide the smell. 250 tons of lime was dumped into the river weekly to contain the stench
