Is Morals Real Or Do We Make Them Up?

We should be atheists in public life, it teaches reliance on one's self and it's better for mankind in general. What u believe in private though, is your business and it shouldn't be discussed in any public sphere. That would be an ideal world. Once religion becomes a public matter, we have famines and roob-doons like what happens in somalia, u put all your weight onto waiting for god and this has killed so many people!!! The little dams PL is building around the region is far more productive and going to help against droughts then any roob doon has ever done!!! I am not saying miracles aren't possible but it shouldn't be our first port of call and unfortunately where-ever religion shows its face in public, it always is the first port of call!!!

We are talking about an infinite god, there is infinite ways towards him not just 5 time praying and fasting even though that maybe one way but to make it the only way is damn incorrect and he becomes 'finite' or limited because there is only one path to him!!! Lets keep religion to ourselves, one person to the next will never agree on this because they personally have different views and it's not a productive topic on this earth. It's intended for the next life, lets leave it there!!! in this life we need to eat, sleep, shit, and survive and leave something tangible behind that unites us and lets keep it at that level. I do not know what kind of religion you are talking about. But as far as Islam is concerned, one should rely on Allah alone and be certain that what Allah has decreed will happen but at the same time put efforts into reaching whatever the goal is. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Secondly, what you are preaching, ie secularism, is itself an ideology. So for you to say that religion should be a personal matter because it is not an ideology which is agreed upon is self-defeating because secularism itself is not agreed upon. You are essentially arguing against yourself.

Secularism is actually proven and has shown society function far better. It may be an idealogy but it is one that can be tested. Can we test religion? its personal admit it!!! if it isn't and it is testable, it can no longer be religion or require belief cuz I dont need to believe the sun exists? hence it's not a productive matter in public sphere, in the personal sphere no problem at all. Besides why you wanna bring your religion to the outside, i suspect agendas!!! I mean if u truly believed it, u wouldnt need to shout it out in public and try to change everyone to be just like you, you would be at peace by yourself!!!
