Is niiko a Somali dance?

Can anyone explain this dance? I have seen videos of ethnic Somalis doing it a weddings. Woah before anyone accused me of being a perv I just happened upon the dance while looking up Somali dance in general. I was once told it is a "HAWIYE MATING RITUAL" I disagreed though.

I remember when I saw him for the first time. I was young and I wrote “Somali Dance.” When I saw that, I was honestly shocked. I don't think it's a Somali dance. It could be the Somali Bantu who live with us, and some Somali women have been influenced by it. I don't know.

I had a similar experience except I was looking up dhaanto.

Only beesha jw do it. Thats their custom. No other clan does it, you guys forget vast majority of somalis are rural where there is different very strict customs especially regarding etiquette.

Outside of ratchet women trying to get attention no one else does it (ethnic somalis).
