How big are the Somali populations in east and west hararghe today ?
No one joined no one brother. The Jigjiga admin is the root cause of this division. They are behind the current division. There is a special place in hell for corrupt leaders.Sxb @Duucale1 u see oromo don't show mercy to small groups who join them
He is a Gidir Karanle elder who is familiar with the region. This guy is a good source on the conflict
It’s clear, they want to expand further into our territory and reach the ocean. Gorilla warfare is the only answer. We need to ignore Cagjar and the slave administration he is part off. We need to unite once again like our forefathers did. Another Garaad Mataan of Geri is what we need. I’m sure if we started this new grassroots movement, cagjar, Addis and the UN would call us terrorists. But we need to ignore that and continue fighting just like the Taliban did. This is the only way and has always been the only way.Large swaths of the Babili district is included in the Oromia region when you look at the official map of the country.
It seems like the same phenomenon is apparent alongside all of our borders with Oromia. I've yet to understand how it even happened![]()

Oromo claim over half the territory brother including Babile town, in the 90s before the regions were defined Babile Town had many political parties setting up office including OPDO, UPD and ESDL, this area was historically peaceful between the two ethniticies during the Derg and Selassie but since the 90s the conflict still exist but it is a frozen conflict that can erupt any time, the referendum was preceeded by a PM appointed committee that determined what kebeles and towns are to be delineated which led to the referendum that was again conducted questionably and never accepted
