Wasn't it a somali territory once and now is inhabited by foreigners. Next thing you'll know jigjiga no more a somali city. I hate how Somaliland is forming ties with Ethiopia uff
Part of it is part of it isnt. It was largely Dir, Hawiye, etc

@Step a side would probably have deeper insights into that area. Ogadens are only a frontier clan due to degradation of the clan territories beyond its borders. Jigjigas already urbanized places like Moyaale Guradhaamoole dheka suftu western sitti are considered at risk. Dire Dhabe and Harar are pretty much gone.

Thankfully this is all tertiary to the Oromo and Amhara who are concerned with Addis Metekel Asosa etc

Ogadens have very few borders with the Oromo nor do we intermingle because they arent geeljire and our borders tend to be natural borders such as rivers canyons or mountains.

But I understand what you mean. In the past few years the Somali Regions done well reaching the frontier regions and extends the road network +300km yearly. This and schools being provided by SR instead of Oromia keeps the border clans more integrated in our sphere then in the Oromo one. The economy of SR is also integrated with Somalia/land and our electricity needs will be fulfilled internally with Solar and Wind projects being built by the UAE currently.

@Noble are the gurre farmers or geeljire?

Ogaden should join Puntland and form a country called Darood or something. Ogaden cant survive while still being stuck with Ethiopia. They can always dash oromos and balaayo baas into the region.

The regions doing quite well actually post-TPLF. Although the eventual aim is to secede. Things are going in a positive direction.

If SR was going to take a state from Somalia it would take JL where the Ogaden settle and control anyways. It would more then likely remain independent if it seceded unless Somalia resolves its civil war around the same time.

Gaalraac somalidiid clan 🀬 How dare they work with Ethiopia and Kenya these people have always been the inside enemy 🀬 They are anti-union with Somalia so they are secessionist 🀬 OG bad 🀬

Salaxaad, Lagahida, Guradhaamoole are all within Bale Zone of Oromia.
From what I understand they have it on their map but it always falls under SR.

I always see these areas showcased on SRTV where the admin is showing the status of the roads interlinking them to Fiiq among other projects like water or electricity.

There are a multitude of places in Hararghe or Baale that have Somali settlements administered by Oromia semi-permanently or permanently.

@Daadhi Tarree @GALAN You can keep downvoting me all you want. You and I both know that the border between the Somali region and Oromia is fake & gay. The border was drawn by Meles in favor of his OPDO dogs. Every point on this map is majority Somali, and is currently governed from Jigjiga.

Oromia will at some point be surprised when ~20,000 sq km are given over to the Somali Region. All because OPDO chose to draw a fake & gay border while Somalis were not paying attention. @Step a side

Genuine question what goes on in the mind of isaaq clan nationalists when they make jokes about the military presence in the south but also support the MOU which aims to bring foreign military to SL ?
