Y'alls reaction makes no sense to me ngl. You can hate on the kids elders/parents and ethiopians that live there but laughing at a kid getting spat on regardless is messed up.
It's kinda tragic. They really have nothing to do with Israel. They never used Hebrew as a liturgical language but instead just used Ge'ez and their own Agaw/Qemant dialects and were basically just out-caste (like the Gabooye) Agaws of the northern highlands who did things like masonry and leathwork. They seemingly developed or pereserved a unique and archaic form of the local Christian orthodoxy as a result and are frankly a little less close to MENAs and Jews than Christian Tigrinyas and Amharas given that they are only recently Ethiosemitized and in fact Agaws. Their only hope is finding some wild "Jewish" Y-DNA or mtDNA but no such luck so far and their most dominant Y-DNA is bloody A-M13.
They're fairly genetically close to Somalis. It truly was a brain fart of history that the Yahudis took them to Palestine and now they've been brainwashed into thinking they're native Jews, join the IDF and partake in the brutalizing of Palestinians while being treated like third-class human beings by the dominant Western Jews of Israel.

The irony is that, they were never really Jews in terms of religion and practice. The portuguese visited Ethiopia in the 1500s-1600s and witnessed that the Beta Isreal were in reality just practitioners of a weird un-orthodox form of christianity and not Judaism.
