We got shares of Ethiopian airlines, which is the best of its kind in africa. On the other hand, u got a minority share( 30%) and no say at all on what goes down in the port.

Landers always getting bamboozled with their lack of leverage.
The funniest part is how they have such a tiny share in their own port. Ethiopia's share is roughly 2/3 of Somaliland's share in their own port.

No matter how many times I say it, I still can't believe that a government could be so retarded and, at the same time, so lucky to have citizens dumb enough to back them on their every move.

Your maths is pretty bad 19% isn't 2/3. :gucciwhat:

Berbera isn't small. I mean it's even better than Mogadishu. What ports does Puntland have? A shitty fishing factory. :drakelaugh:

Berbera port now.

Berbera in future after UAE completes the development.

You need to remember Somaliland population isn't 10 million so it's perfectly fine for Ethiopia to use 19% of our share and our economy will boost up. then Just watch how your neighbour succeeds and quit hating!

Somaliland and Ethiopia is making business together and the haters can f*ck off and watch how Somaliland winning. :win:

Are they creating new roads to get to Berbera from Addis Ababa. It must be a good 12+ hours for that journey. Not the most efficient.

Currently somalilands port takes 26k containers per year. When the port is done it will take 1.25m. 30% of 1.25 million is better than 100% of 26k. Further more the tax on goods at the border plus the jobs that will be created off the back of this will be huge. All in all it will be a huge boost to our economy. Aswell as a financial move it’s a geopolitical move. For a long time somaliland has been islolated with no real allies, this move will tie the economy of Ethiopia with the economy of somaliland. This means we will never be threatened by Somalia from our Ethiopian border. What it also does is create allies out side of Africa. As Ethiopia is a industrial country the countries that they export to will become allies of somaliland through simple economics. The UAE military base and involvement in the port will also bring about much military assistance any conflict with Somalia will become a proxy war were we are armed to the teeth by UAE. What guarantees this is the billions that they’re going to spend and their need to protect their investment. All in all somaliland will go from a isolated part of Somalia to the status of a country like Taiwan. Sooner or later we will have a civil war and we’re putting ourselves in the position to cause sudden blows to Somalia. The international community will eventually step in and serious negotiations will then start. As of now you can bark and we'll keep preparing.

Listen cisse boy you’re annoyed because you want to have a monopoly on ethiopia import export but that’s over now. If you love somalia bring your little patch of dirt and unite with somalia like somaliland did in 1960 otherwise hold your tongue and don’t get involved in the matters of another nation.

One of the main problems for Somalia is Ethiopian Kenyan and Djiboutian nationals getting involved in our politics. Whether we kill each other or join each other it’s non of your business.

The future is very bright for somaliland. We have oil with this oil we will be able to build infrastructure very quickly. We have enough arable land to feed 30 times our population if the infrastructure is built. We have a large underground water aquifer under togdheere that again with the right infrastructure will give us water wealth. We will also be able to build electricity infrastructure and the sanaag highlands will be cultivated for khat. The next 30 years is about becoming self sufficient.

Once we are recognised as a country we will get rid of the uae and build zeila and lughaya along with berbera we will build 3 railway lines to diri dawa were they will connect with the one towards Addis. Our economy will be based on trade finance and services like Singapore or Frankfort.

Our main towns will become zeila lughaya berbera and Mayt. Zeila and lughqya will become trading centres Berbera will be a trading hub plus a oil port as the oil from oedweyn will be pipelines through there. Mayt will become a oil port for the eastern regions.

With this economic growth and the fact we don’t have an extremist past we will purchase loads of weapons and become a regional power. Hopefully hawiye get their shit together and rule Somalia. All in all the future is bright and we can’t wait for the civil war that will kick things into action.
