I just saw this on tiktok, and she is truly a hero. We need more women officers like her in every Somali city. While some Somali fathers and police officers have let down Somali women back home, this doesn’t mean all hope is lost. Somali women should work together to build communities where leaders like Jawahir can patrol, oversee, and support young Somali women.

We need more women like this. We have to save ourselves and change the system. Something has to be done to those men who marry these women, have a kid with them and abandon them. Me personally I’d make them do hard labour.
