Jigjiga Grand Iftar with 120K Attendees

A grand iftar celebration was held today in Jigjiga, in the Ayardaga Street. It was organized by the Jigjiga City administration with the help of volunteers. Close to 120K people was present there.

Not just them, but the ETOC was against the idea last year I believe to hold it in the Revolution Square after they were permitted by the city administration. They tried to lobby against it, but they failed. It's puzzling, considering how they themselves use the site for their own religious celebrations

One day I will visit Jigjiga Inshallah, what a beautiful city.

The population of jigjiga is not even 120,000
I went there. It was a small town and a large part of the population were not Somalis
