You hit the nail on the coffin there. They witness improper and wild behavior but when they see a potential Ethiopian engage in stuff like that , they don't really bat an eye towards. Because it's so common place for them.

Also i don't think Ethiopians have a solid identity, this might be connected to their cultural history, but they larp and assume other peoples identities a lot.
