It's really well done but the Embroidery could have some work to it, but again, it's usually a difficult craft to do well. But generally the Jouke is very great for a first shot. The tassels are perfect and almost replicate of the ones you see Sultan Olol Diinle wear.

Maybe add a belt, It's also something the 21stCenturySultan forgot about. It would make it look more crisp

Honestly, I like this one more than the original because of the more intricate details. It does have some improvements. The circular design are actually more emboldened, and connect more to the frame behind it as of now it a bit more to the left. The buttons would look better in black so they blend in. Also, as @Khaemwaset mentioned, a belt would be a good addition as well.

The circular design are actually more emboldened, and connect more to the frame behind it as of now it a bit more to the left. The buttons would look better in black so they blend in. A separate belt would be fine if the jouke had some belt loops.

I think the tassels and embroidery need more work. Consider consulting a tailor specializing in historic garments, especially Somali aristocratic clothing, as older fabrics often have higher quality threading and intricate designs.

I asked most people and they said use 100% cotton fabric

I've also seen this type of design which doesn't have the circular tassels.

It looks a little similar to the daghla that Arabs wear.

I think it's most likely stitched that way. Or there might be a small zipper or snap button underneath.
