Majority of Somalis still live in 5ta Soomaaliyeed aka Somaliwayn region. They'd probably make up over 95% of the total Somali population worldwide, and these people are poor af! Also, those in the diaspora are mostly struggling even thought they are much better than those from back home, so who are these rich Somalis? Are you rich? I certainly am not rich at all despite living in the diaspora for most of my life and having graduated university. I am definitely not suffering, but I am far from being rich, and I'd wager most Somalis in the diaspora(99%) are in a similar boat. Also, my counterargument had nothing to do with money and everything to do with sovereignty, dignity, having a country that's our own, not being oppressed in our country etc..., these are much bigger than money. We're a few decades away from not having our own homeland if we don't fix up and you think being stateless refugees in the diaspora all over the world is a good thing. You better be young, otherwise, you have no excuse for being this stupid.
