Why is Hawiye always bunched up together but the darood subclans spilt up? The only tall darood subclan is OG and that isn't even all of them they are average like everyone else. Theres no correlation between what qabiil you marry from and how you look its purely your luck of the draw. The chance of birth defects happening between cousins is only 1% higher so if it happens then most likely it would've happened regardless of who u married

Where did you get this information? I argee that cousin marriages producing disabled kids is over exaggerated but by marrying your cousin you are doubling your chances of passing down.

I remember watching a documentary about the inbreeding issue of Pakistani in Britain.

my friend has presented this theory that somalis of mixed qabiil ancestry are more physically attractive than ones with parents and grandparents from the same subclan, he knows this one guy with a hawiye/rahanweyn father and a darod/dir mother and he's 6'4, physically fit, has a chiseled face and all the xalimos and ajnabi women go crazy over him, i told him its more than likely correlated with his diet and lifestyle but he was adamant that it had more to do with his diverse qabiil makeup, whats your stance on this theory guys? does it hold any weight?

Attractiveness is a marker for genetic quality. Genetic diversity is one way of improving our stock but tbh I don't think inter-qabil mixing would be of any help at this point.

Our isolation throughout our history hurt us but what did the biggest damage is our proneness for arranged marriages. At least in other isolated communities the most robust genes still got passed on widely while it might have been limited in ours due to our social structure.
