Kamala Harris changing her race be like:

The one drop rule is what matters in the United States; there's been a recent push back against the blanket acceptance of non-FBA individuals by some (mostly fringe) African-Americans.

I always believe mixed race people were the most attractive looking people . It was only after I was exposed to social media that I realised I was only one with that opinion .

But yeah back to your point mixed race Americans identify their black side a lot more than whites . Makes sense

If Obama can be known as the first black president even though he has a white mother why can’t Kamala Harris say she’s black too?

I thought black people in America claim the mixed ones

I think it's because the other component of her identity (Indian) is something she's equally identified with, whereas Barack couldn't identify with his white side, and so Afro-Americans readily accepted Obama.

Also, Kamala's career as a prosecutor leaves much to be desired; there are a mountain of lurid stories about how she very enthusiastically broke up black families

In addition to all of this, she's also married to a Jewish man; Barack Obama wouldn't have made it to the White House (with the black vote) if his wife was white.
