The reason for this is simple. Kenya thought that since the relations were restored, they can load tons of planes and send them to mogadishu. They got surprised that khat ban is still not lifted and their planes got turned back. So kenya got angry and started throwing tantrums. Don't worry they will change their decision soon enough.

Also it's not somalia which wanted the ties restored. Since before the ICJ case, kenya was using other countries to ask somalia to negotiate with them. Qatar even tried pressuring farmaajo to negotiate with kenya. He obviously refused. Few weeks ago kenya went and begged qatar again to just please restore the relations. Farmaajo accepted, but now kenya is playing hard to get after being the one to beg. Farmaajo should just completely stop talking to them. They keep going back on agreements. Finally, the federal government is watching this closely. If kenya doesn't stop interfering in somalia's affairs it's back to ties cut again.

You have to realize the pressure is tremendous really huge. Huge political pressure not just from AU but also EU and even middle eastern countries like qatar. The FGS did a really good job withstanding the pressure until the case was heard, we are finally in the end game.The verdict comes out, it's done. hopefully though, a new government doesn't come that other countries can pressure to negotiate over the case.

You see how they allow "humanitarian" flights to fly from kenya to Somalia? they make alot of money from un and its work in Somalia. Farmaajo needs to ban UN flights too and have them work direct in somalia. Make it even more costly for them.

Somalia can't ban anything they only exist on paper. Kenya should grow a pair and just fly planes to SL through Ethiopia, that way you can avoid using Somalia's airspace
