For what it’s worth I doubt he wins. It’s either going to be Deni or Khaire/Sheikh Shariif. Based on suugo science and vibes I’d prob say Deni, Khaire, and sheikh sharif (in that order).

That being said, Somalis love bringing back tired politicians. It’d be pretty sad if Farmaajo won, not because I think he’s a terrible guy (much prefer him to HSM), but because we need to stop giving these same dudes a chance. They are going to scrape together an aussom program out of the existing UN funding and EU funding and maybe some gulf states will contribute. It will be smaller mission than originally planned.

I don’t think you actually pay attention to what’s going on down there, you just have your narratives. Yesterday was a setup and a desertion, if you don’t understand the clear implications, I’ll explain them. It simply means he doesn’t have any forces. He will easily be routed if it comes to that but it probably won’t because he knows he doesn’t have the strength. He’s stolen enough, he’s 70, he will simply leave. Unlike Farmaajo who tried this before. HSM has a lot of supporters in Mogadishu. He is going to hold it down. No one can challenge him when he is declared President and if they do the resulting war will be the end of the this whole show.

So we have HSM easy win, or at best for the oppositon 1991 stalemate.

I think HSM has some supporters among the IC who are right now playing a double game because they signed on the international partners statement calling for unity but secretly they support HSMs push.
