The fact that you mentioned Shifta war is pretty telling, it was a war between an old colonial backed government and a people fighting for unification with Somalia. Wikipedia knowledge at display trying to dress it up like you have family ties to .
Somalis have never been put in concentration camps either or been massacred for years. Nonsense. There was an Alshabab incident and a unlawful security crackdown on Somali refugees/migrants not locals following it and that's about it
Also the shifta war has nothing to do with the average Kenyan and how they feel or think of Somalis. They know nothing about NFD nor do they know anything about the Shifta war
Infact like i said they think most Somalis there are immigrants from Somalia coming to Nairobi, they are not entirely wrong because some are. They also believe Somali is a nationality of Somalia and not an ethnicity, so it's a fundamental problem with lack of knowledge.
The rest is just political tribalist rethoric they launch at different ethnicities in kenya which Somalis don't even participate in
As i said in the other page:
That's different as it was a war between governments & people, Somalis are now an an integrated part of Kenya with political and economic clout. There is no need to be cautious
Kikuyus are not the problem. The problem is Kenyas tribalism, where ethnicity is being politicized.
Somalis on the other hand have no care about this political ethnic squable are more united and supportive of eachother. That's really the bigger difference. You don't see us voicing dissent or opinion on any group wether be kikkuyu or lou or what have you. We are just focused on ourselves.
I mentioned a bit about this in one of the hundreds threads they made about this topic:
