Af Maay&Xamari are dialects not languages.

some of these are just dialects, Somalia isn’t linguistically diverse, we have one main language and some Swahili languages spoken by minorities.

That is why Northerners get confused and hostile when they come to the South And because of their language limitations they make a lot of mistakes and there for they were given the nickname Somali Qaldaan.

Qaldaan means one who is always wrong.

Af Maay is a language, it isn’t mutually intelligible with Af-Maxaa (aka Somali). Stop disrespecting the Maay nation, af Maay should be taught in the schools of SW State. Long live the Maay nation

We are the originals. Even Af-Maxaa in the south is broken due to heavy influence from Maay & Bantu speakers. I’m pretty sure Banadiri Somali has an Af-Maay substratum

Don't most of y'all still speak Somali. I've had family members who stayed in the South in the 80s and they just spoke Somali there. Maybe certain regions are far more different from the North but others are just exactly the same as any other Somali region. So there wont be much of a limitation at all.
