Use it to your advantage, leave the other garbage.
I have tried that , it
Why does your uni require you to use fb?

I think it’s great to leave. You don’t have to do it forever if you prefer, see how you get on with 1 month and take it from there.
My class mates have made a page to discuss and get help with our assignments and we also do group work for some assignments.

I alternate between LinkedIn and Sspot lately.

I haven't logged in my other social media accounts for months. My friends and family have my phone number so I don't see any use for IG, SC or facebook.

I quit IG and Snap for a year.

I started to disengage with Instagram, I just started hating it and would redownload it just to talk to my friends who didn't use iMessage. I then just quit it as a whole. Snap been dead since 2018, so I just really stopped using it and quit it as a whole. It was hard leaving, because it was a reality where I could post and do anything in my reach. I feel like social media is a step away from reality, and people become glued to it because its our everyday need. Youtube, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, millions of people use these apps to broadcast their "lives" and their "realities" and in reality, its just to show others how they want to percieve of them. Wlh, I got tired of just posting because I was like whats the purpose, whats the goal, and whats the point? I use Twitter, and I use iMessage, but I do not know if I will come back to those two apps. I feel like with IG and Snap you have to post or else your going to have this mindset that you didn't reach your goal of the day. Which sucks, because it happens to everyone, the views don't matter and I wish I could tell myself that before it was too late.

I would say, don't quit it, but just take breaks from time to time. Once you quit, and you delete your account, there's no way you will be able to get your account back, and you will regret it.

I don’t have Facebook. But I do have email and phone though

Get a facebook account, it is useful. You don't have to be active on it. You can keep it to the basics if you dislike the fakery (people making their lives seem much better than in reality).

You could never again post some nice pics of your halimo 100% caano geel nourished butt

Honestly I don’t see how it would benefit me. I don’t even like to deal with most people I know most of the time.

There are neighborhood groups on there that are useful. Getting invites to events or keeping in touch with people who live far away.

The benefits outweigh the cons.

ive stopped snapchatting and twitter for 5-6 years and im slowing going off insta. (except my business account) . but facebook is where all the important family and close friends are.

hmm whats on linkedin, isnt it just for business?

It has somehow become like other social media.
People are sharing their daily lives to market themselves. Not personal stories, more like career related; struggles, new projects, promotions and so on.

I find it very inspiring to see people doing cool things in my field 🙃
