GENETICS Lineage L6 (Question for 23andMe testers)

Do any of you have a Somali 23andMe relative with mtDNA L6?

I have zero I think L6 may be an Ethiopian specific hunter-gather lineage and does not exist in ethnic Somalis. Help confirm my Suugo theory or debunk it by showing a Somali relative of yours with L6.

No relative with it. My theory is L3 is likely the most most common Maternal
East African haplo in Somalis.

I thought HV's ancestor was R0a who's ancestor was R who's ancestors was N that's ancestor was L3. Even M split from L3. At the end of the day we know who the hooyo 50 kya was.

I think i did saw someone with strange L mtdna, not sure if its L4, but i saw weird mtdna relatives who were either 100 percent somali or almost 100 percent. Like Mtdna I and Mtdna U.

Most of my Somali mtdnna relatives have L0 to L3 and M1 and N1.

I have quite a few relatives with j1c mtdna. Is it found in Somalis or did come from another population recently?

I have N1a1. Most of my relatives have either N1, M1or L3 with a sprinkling of R0a. Never seen L6.

No they’re common throughout the Northeast Africa and east Africa as a whole to a lesser extent.

Yh east Africa but I haven’t seen that many southern somalis with mtdna M and N if any in my relatives.
