1899-1920 Somalis were divided and occupied by colonial powers. Once we united under Sayyid Mohamed we fought against the british , theost powerful country in the world at that time and we kept resisting for 20 years. They had to bomb us with airplanes to stop us and it was one of the first times europeans used air power against a native rebellion in africa.
1977 somalis united under pansomalism and conquered Ogadenia in a month. We were winning against a country like Ethiopia which has 10 times our population. Immagine if belgium conquered half of Germany in a month. Nobody would believe it. They had to call a world superpower like Russia to stop us.
