This is to be expected due to the uncertainty and panic of the stock market people are panic selling stocks.
Trump is dead set of these tariffs. US government needs to seriously lock in on aggressively onshore key industries. I’m talking Defense and AI, Semiconductors, Energy, Pharmaceuticals. They need to be less dependent on hostile supply chains and create jobs. This is the most realistic counterplay for this war.
Can’t lie his in a tough place. Bro strained relationships with china, mexico and a canada. They need to renegotiate trade deals with Canada and Mexico our natural allies AT LEAST for a good chance against China imo.
He can hit farmers, small exporters and manufacturers with a stimulus and invest more in critical businesses that need support.

He can’t, automation and robotics is the future. Onshoring or reshoring would take 3 years minimum and it would still be 3x more expensive atleast. Those jobs aren’t coming back, and if he tries it’ll cause inflation to spike again. This is exactly how he destroyed all of his shitty businesses.
