They need to reorient centre left ong. Instead of being the guardian angel of minority rights which is pissing everyone off. Obama era of liberal governance is over they need to reorient as Europe did over a decade ago and revert to Clinton’s political stance+ others E.g Emmanuel macron, Tony Blair. Issue is the party is split on whether they should. They think trump will f*ck up so bad that they won’t need to reorient since people will vote for them to spite/punish the republicans when they feel betrayed. On the other hand it doesn’t change the underlying issues which is the democrats are unpopular because they’re fixated on ideological/identity politics, and their only counter is to show how bad trump is whilst ignoring their own shortcomings. They could dominate the senate too and pass legislation much easier than the Biden term, we’ll see how it plays out. They should pick a white young male as their candidate and reorient centre left if they wanna win big imo. That way they won’t lose votes due to, misogyny, racial bias or discontent from minorities like Latinos and even Somalis who didn’t like the idea of Kamala Harris. They’ll also have a much larger voting block as the boycott will be over since Arabs will realise how bad trump fucked them over. Dems are acc entitled af now that I think about it, they think they deserve your vote simply because the alternative is maga and are willing to continue their unpopular campaign, ignoring criticism even at their own expense
