I’m from U.K. so I know a lot about maya jama.. when she was bullied in school about being Somali ( all my U.K. folk know what use to happen) she claimed to be Jamaican and lied to all her
Classmates. Her mother called her Somali aunts and said you need to speak with her she’s lying about where she’s from because she’s ashamed and the kids are bullying her. So apparently her aunties gave her advise and helped her be proud of her heritage. Even though her father was a shit dad I have to admit her aunties uncle and ayeeyo have been there for her and her brother. Her brother who’s a year younger then her loves Somalia more then maya.. maybe because his two best friends are Somali. I know he also speaks to his dead beat father whereas maya refused.
