Is ancient Petra the real meca and where where supposed to face?
I mean the mecca right now does not fitt any description written today and buwari belived we used to face Jerusalem but thats 200 years the prophet dies.
@Dawo and sheikh of sspot. You guys might have a better understanding. What are ur thoughts on this?

is no petra. idk why everybody was hyping last year that they found real ''mecca'' last year ago, but i dont belive it , i belive its in saudi arabia not jordan

Just watched it. This is kind of crazy to be honest and I cant find Western muslim scholar who can answer any of points He Made. Sadly i dont speak arabic.

@Lord Mecca was called Bakkah during Ibrahim a.s time.

I did more reaserch into this and seems like alot of Muslims seem to be agreeing with him but none of the scholars want comment on this which i find it weird.

What did He miss?

This was a really good read. This seemed like a personal attack plus He didnt answer key issues plus. He kept dogding alot of the stuff He was suposed to talk about.

Is there any known sheikh that has talked about this?

how is petra mecca. even tough it was its unrealistic. Prophet Muhammad sws was born in mecca saudi arabia there's accounts proof of that so :kanyeshrug:

Maybe i am missing something, but it does not add upp and the sheikh of sspot are not responding. Even buqari wrote less than 1/3 of papper on 2 years.

theres only ever been two places muslims face jerusalem baytul maqdis and kaabah in makkah, ibrahim built the kaabah



Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
β€œAnd (remember) when Ibraaheem (Abraham) and (his son) Ismaa’eel (Ishmael) were raising the foundations of the House (the Kaβ€˜bah at Makkah), (saying), β€˜Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us. Verily, You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower’”
[al-Baqarah 2:127]



Verily, We have seen the turning of your (Muhammad’s) face towards the heaven. Surely, We shall turn you to a Qiblah (prayer direction) that shall please you, so turn your face in the direction of Al-Masjid Al-Haraam (at Makkah). And wheresoever you people are, turn your faces (in prayer) in that direction”
[al-Baqarah 2:144]

^^ this revelation was revealed to change the direction from jerusalem to makkah
