The harmful notion that women were the more emotional creatures was exaggerated in my young mind as a child. Because of this, it spiraled into a deep dislike of men. Not only that, I’ve experienced trauma all my life from men as well. However, I have managed to recover from this perspective now. Whenever I saw a man acting loving and affectionate or crying, I was mind-blown. I’d think, “That’s a rare sight to see. What a unique specimen!” This still happens sometimes now, but I keep it hidden within the dark depths of my mind.
This is exactly why I am irked whenever a man calls another man a "simp" for showing acts of kindness and respect for women or “too much emotion”.
