Only way to become a slave in Islam, is by attacking muslims. No other way. In Islam you can’t mistreate your slave. I actually think that ” slavery” in Islam is good. Unfortunately muslims have done unislamic slavery where they have acquired slaves through violence, where they were the aggressors.

Slaving done by muslims for most part of the history was not islamic.

She's absolutely right. Objectively speaking, there's nothing wrong with slavery just like a Westerner would argue there's nothing wrong with Jails. Likewise, slavery through war was limited and permitted by Allah and his Rasul ﷺ.
