Muslims are always in the comments of Somali influencers like chunkz and Halima Aden talking about Somali women not wearing the hijab and Somali influencers not talking about Palestine enough…like what? Literally comments in English, French, and even arabic. Somalis also join in also jumping their own people. So that’s why they think they can have this kibir with us.

Let me play devils advocate: this issue also happens within our community. So many Somali men obsesses over non bw & a few of our athletes marry out as well. Their ceel is valid imagine seeing all your eligible bachelors choosing others due to self hatred. I’m also a firm believer of not supporting men who don’t marry within our community. There’s a new Somali bakery that opened up near me; I found out the guy married a cadan & decided not support the business anymore
That last paragraph…it is insane seeing people who have never worn any kind of modest clothing let alone a hijab attacking random somali girls online. Whenever I see a Somali doing something that’s not very traditional (wearing fashion nova outfits or acting like one of those skinny waif ed girls or cosplaying etc) there’s always an ajanabi in the comments saying something weird. Like they’re mad at us for not being the generic Somali they envisioned and try to hide behind religious guilt to justify attacking us. Not sure where you live but in the UK, I see mathows with a light skin biracial or a white girl every day. I only ever see Somali guys with Somali girls.
