Thats only a million dollars... unless all they made was 2 million dollars then something isn't adding up.

Agreed, unless it hasn't started to really produce yet? Not sure, but this seems like a rip off.

If it continues at this rate, 50% is publicity and true percentage is less than 1%.

Cagjar shouldn't accept a picture with less than a Billion dollar check.

Production isn’t exactly something you can hide there are no gas pipelines nor any infrastructure for any reasonable production of fossil fuels.

Im sure weve all seen the recent video of the water tanker found by Liyu filled with Oil. At that rate they could mine for 3,000 years before anyone sees any real money from it.

actually this is a time if any to be a thorn Cagjar has at numerous points disobeyed the fed from what I hear its just that when the bastard does its mostly at our expense.

So ministry of mines gives money after knowing fully facts that they are the cause of misery to the villagers who have been poisoned by Chinese oil firms.

50 million birr compared to 50 billion Birr the Ethiopiàn govt got upfront on giving oil concessions to Chinese firms.

Sad indeed. Hopefully those families get some kind of compensation. That other money you mentioned is probably being used on the war.

The money is from land taxes put on the foreign companies doing exploration.

I knew it was impossible for there to have been production but im wondering how much land did they lease for “exploration” to the extent theyre being taxed millions?
