Basic human right to get free food in a country where you can work - or even get food stamps for crying out loud?! This is like complaining the dustbins have haram food in them. Shame shame shame

I'm dying of shame. They're not in a famine - they even already have free food if they are entitled. Food banks are donations from the general public, they should be used only if you're starving and at that point you can eat pork or even bakhti - that's what Islam says.
I don't understand what your argument here is? Are you saying they shouldn't have the options to choose what they consume if they are indeed hungry? Or they are being greedy to go to food banks because they are not that poor?
If its the first, then Somali verb says 'baahi bakhti looma cuno'. And it's really incompassionate to suggest that they are not that poor to go to a food bank. You simply don't know their personal situation

Food bank is bakhti saaxiib. Somali pride does not enter or go close to choosing the best bits from the nasty gaalo dustbins meant for drug addicts who can't manage their money properly. This is the biggest shame I've experienced in a long time.
Food banks are not only meant for drug addicts, it's for everyone who has financial problems. Since the financial crisis the number food banks increased, and there are reports that say that food banks struggle to meet increasing demand.
The bakhti in this context is pork and I think they should be applaud for having principles even though they are hungry. Poverty is not shameful sxb.
