Was recently reading about some of the battles that will be fought end times. It’s interesting how the weapons being used are shields swords and lances like olden days. Same with transport being horses and camels.

this got me thinking of modern warfare today and how there is no honor in it. Someone uses snipper hundreds of yards away and pops u. Bombs dropped from different country killing men women and children.

Precisely! In Islam it’s haram to even fight a man who runs from the battlefield and now it’s socially acceptable to throw massive explosives on open air prisons, go after elderly, children, women, civilians,etc.The bombs also destroy the earth as well at alarming rates which is super caasi, just like how Isreal bombed Syria and it was the explosive equivalent to a 3.0 magnitude earthquake! Subhannallah where’s the humility and benevolence in that? Pure cowardice

We will definitely be going back to the days to primitive weaponry. I expect a nuclear war will be responsible for that.

Defense is huge in South and midwest. I'm just not an engineer. Thinking about going back school in the future for an engineering degree though. My only problem is that I only find defense work fascinating .

Maybe a Faarax could develop extremely precise and low pay-load JDAMs.

I do think we will be set back technologically. This happened throughout history as well in other scales and proportions.

I'm not saying the case that people in the past were as technologically advanced as they are today, but regimes of relative advancement reached peaks, then collapsed with the descendants not even being able to remember or carry on knowledge or systemic know-how to revive it.

It's hard to make a pistol from scratch. So if systems are broken, knowledge is forgotten, swords and lithics are what's left to use. And you're right, men had better skin in the game when they did warfare the traditional way.

There is also the passing of time. These wars could happen in a couple of millennia for all we know. The Prophet (PBUH) could have meant that we're near the end times knowing humans have been here for a very long time; relative to 50,000 years or longer, a few millennia is nothing. I don't think any of the countries we see today exist then (the US, Germany, and Russia). The entire global order as we have it today probably will not persist in those times because technology and distributed systems are what support technology and systems manufacturing.
