You do know that Djibouti is in such a large debt to China that they'll be giving them the port soon for free.

im aware and ppl have been saying we're defaulting for the past year and yet nothing. China is cognizant of their "debt trap" reputation and are treading lightly. The west or the world bank would bail the government out even if it came to that.

It's a very big concern but Djibouti has better chances because so many other foreign powers have a large stake there. I can't see the U.S. allowing China to gain complete control of the gateway to and from the Red Sea. While their general policy has been to not use American money to pay off Chinese debts, if there is any country that they would make an exception for, it's Djibouti. But only Allah knows what will happen.

Djibouti was supposed to be a back up nation in-case Somalia fails. @Kingcobra is not supposed to be the leader with Issa and a few aboriginal anfars it's not how it should be, but due to our failures as Somalians, we have failed to take our leading role in the region because of people like HG who don't want a government and create all sorts of 'anti govt political-islamo projects' to avoid a government.

Darod-Hawiye-Dir are all in Somalia, it's like our 'mainland' similar to China, but Djibouti is like 'Taiwan' to Somalis, it's not supposed to be anything 'big or strong' in the first place but a back-up sort of nation. It seems like it now wants to be 'hong kong' not 'taiwan' of East africa. Good on @Kingcobra
