No, it's not talking about CG. It's a direct continuation of the first passage but I just cropped it because of the gap.

That's not true. Awdal, Sool, and Sanaag were independant districts [regions] during the colonial era. See the maps from 1944 and 1950. It's a common misconception that they were split or newly created from Waqooyi Galbeed and Togdheer. MSB just reversed it in 1984. And stop dreaming about something that will never happen. In every map I've seen, the districts are shown. If it had been split into the two regions of Hargeisa and Burco, the British would have used it.

The only evidence of Hargeisa and Burco being actual regions came post 1960s from Somalia. If you have anything pre 1960s then share it.

I was responding to your point that Afweyne reversed the borders when in fact it was the civilian govt in Xamar that grouped the districts under 2 adminstartive regions.
