Why can’t you admit to yourself that it’s obvious he doesn’t believe in it?

He went as far as to change his name, which btw, is perfectly understandable, but you’re still not convinced?

I would change my name in a heartbeat if it was obviously Muslim, bc why carry the baggage of Islam when you don’t even believe in it, especially in the West?

Even having an obviously ethnic name and changing it to be more Westernized is something as old as Western immigration itself, every group from Asians, to Africans, to early White Europeans settlers changed their names to be more easily pronounced, or practiced a system of having dual names for a very simple reason: to get ahead (blend in, at least on paper).
