A common reason why your back may hurt is from bad posture while seated. I would advise you to sit up with your back straight and your shoulders back. Sit at the end of your chair and slouch completely. As for sleeping, make sure you put a pillow between your legs. If you're sleeping sideways and if you sleep on your back make sure to rest your kneepit on top of your pillow. Also, never ever sleep on your stomach.

Certain sitting and sleeping positions can cause unnecessary pressure on your back thus giving you back pain. It is very crucial to maintain the natural curve of the backbone by practicing good posture which will help you prevent back pain.

Is it upper back...lower(or more to the left or right)? What are your other symptoms? Was it quick onset.... like suddenly out of the blue? Or more chronic? Is it painful no matter what you’re doing....even at rest or just with certain movements?

Upper to middle, center. It was sudden. It started a few hours ago. It was painful to sit up and stand up.

it’s getting better now tho

So with rest, or laying down you’re fine? If so it’s most likely just benign. If it’s continuous or gets worse or if pain does not ease up at rest than make an appt with your doctor. 🙏🏽
