My dad wants to open dropshipping business

Show him videos about pyramid schemes and MLM scams, expose him to the ideas of Charles munger and similar people that will hopefully convince him that there's no easy way to become rich, and that anyone telling you otherwise has you as a mark or an idiot to impress

He's 56 on the dot ( born in 1969 ) he's not like other old heads. He lost almost 100k on failed ventures (forex and the like ) . He thinks he will become a millionaire with it
💀💀 100k is a whole salary how rich is your pops. Since your dads a Gen X they are more tech savvy. But start fear mongering and just like everyday tell him about stories of people losing it all. Wallahi this stuff is like gambling Ik some people into it and even if they lose they think they will still come out triumphant.

We are poor. He works at the oilfields so he occasionally makes good money he just don't spend much cause all of us (kids) work and pay for things. He has 3 cars with him and newest one is Toyota 60k he bought behind everyone back (my mom pissed). He only lost 100k in 20 years of bad deals.

if he has disposable money put into mutual fund like vanguard 500. Last 5 years grew 83% probably wont happen next 5 years but should see some gains I think 8% annual can be expected

if he has really good credit and enough for downpayment buy properties and rent it out. Real estate is great business. Next level would be stuff like gas stations motels and maybe even somthing healthcare related or food franchise. Would be generational wealth creators
