Let me narrate to you my experience as a full-time party-goer and former Somali!
I remember back in 2017, my first year with my Gaalo friends who came to my house. We were around 7, all in peace with Dyonisos (the God of irrationality; and alcohol!) I was just 19, free-minded and Western Philosophies changed my perspective on religion a few months ago. Henceforth; I was looking for ways to live my life, differently.
Living in the French countryside, in a privileged small community, I was one of the fewest blacks there. Quite nice to be unique, tbh. A few other Arabs were there. Blacks, Whites and Arabs were all friendly people; humans, to say the least! Growing up, I was shy and not so open to new people. But this paradigm changed the night I invited my friends, school comrades mainly, over. They were all french natives. I was panicking since I didn't know how to handle people; I cooked some rice, goat meat and prepared the tables for debauchery!
Things were ahead of the plan; I could even relax and lose my mind in a Sobriesky or Smirnoff (vodkas).
The day before their arrival, I was already drunk lmfao! From 2 p.m to 2 a.m, I was heavily intoxicated, but with my body mass, I could contain it; laughter was the only hint that shown how much alcoholized I was. I remember, around 9 p.m, following and sneaking in, with my other bros, and hearing a convo with our girl friend and her other friend. But we were too noisy; thus, we would just fall and laugh. Embarrassing! They immediately turned around and saw us. Frankly, they just saw my big ass running lmfao.
And at the end of that night, we were playing FIFA 17 and the deal was: if I lose, I'd shave off my hair (RIP my hair, until that night, they'd never came back, J/k, I just wore a more glorious one afterward), and I lost it. I was so frustrated that we kept on for hours until they decided to play for money. I again lost it; easy when alcohol was half of my mind!
So top it off, we recorded videos of my big ass getting a haircut. Funny enough, I still got the snaps kkkk.
To sum up: since that night, I became a party-goer for years, jumping from one party to another, meeting new girls and destroying my shininess and my old-traditions of staying quiet and immobile in a social setting; I became energetic and crazy.
Thank Hibongo, I stopped going to parties for the last 8 months! (or 7, IDK). The last one was crazy; I met up a few far-right Frenchies, we talked about immigrants, made rap music and I was the most racist one
