I am exiting the workforce very soon for self employment because careers are soul crushing, especially in high paying roles. Do you honestly like dealing with employees and navigating their crazy personalities? You know, the higher the ladder you climb, the more psychos you deal with. Its not sustainable, even for men. I am probably the most liberal Somali guy on the planet and even I can see how terrible it is for women to be career focused. It took me almost 10 years to realize it. It's really not worth it except for emergencies.
