New minister of Security appointed DDS

Reports say Cabdulqadir Rashid Duale appointment comes amidst pressure from Ahmed Shide the Minister of Finance of Ethiopia following the Dacawaley incident. The liyuu police have perpetrated many atrocities and his appointment has been welcome change.


Mr. Abdiqadir Rasiid was previously the minister of information , he entered politics as the head of the finance office of Guradhamole where he started his first job. He also worked in the project of PCDP and the staff of Jigjiga University. He passed the head of the team of the department of the office of the president of DDS. Abdiqadir has also passed the chairman of the districts of Bookh, Raaso, Gursum and Shiniile who he administered.

Nothing to do with “crimes”. This position is meant to be ‘superficial’. The head of this office is a rotating political appointment similiar to how the FBI or CIA head is usually a lawyer/politician and not a former agent.

The previous heads were transferred to other ministries Dayib in particular is now the minister of finance.

This is probably to do with the Gurre-Dhaamoole conflict if I had to guess.

Not really, the Commisioner of the Liyu Police is Sareeye Guud Cabdi Cali Siyaad “Gafeydhe”. He is the person who runs the Liyu. The Wasiir is expected to be front facing and do interviews and public speaking for the security forces.
