I grew up wanting an independent Oromia. I’ve never claimed being an Ethiopian a day in my life. l took my time to explain who Oromos are and where we are located if someone asked. The vast majority wanted an independent Oromia. Things just changed a little within the last year. Many exiled Oromos in the diaspora returned home for the first time in 20, 30, 40 years etc.

Oromia is our only destination.
