The size of numbers depends on the need and necessity of each nation, and that is why ancient nations did not know the number one million. The Babylonians, Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Persians and Arabs and other ancient nations before the modern age did not know a number equivalent to one million.

Malyuun is borrowed from the Arabic word milyun
No , milyun is not Arabic word .
The largest number in Arabic is thousand "alaf ألف" .
The word ( million ) is derived from the early Italian millione (milione in modern Italian), from mille, "thousand", plus the augmentative suffix -ion. millione means the thousand .

The word "million" is of Italian origin, derived from the Latin "mille", which means a "thousand" in Latin, Italian, French, Spanish and Portuguese, with the suffix "-ion " meaning a large or enormous thousand.
It appeared in Italy in the late 13th century, then spread to France in the late 14th century, then to English in the 16th century, and from English to most countries of the world.
The letter M " mille " represents one thousand (1000 ) in Roman numerals.

I think the Arabic speaker are the same like us. They don’t have word for million or billions and instead use the English one.
Exactly, the Arabic language does not have a specific word for million.
In the pre-Islamic era and at the time of the Prophet Muhammad, Arabs did not have a specific word for a million. During the reign of Umar ibn al-Khattab, Muslims began to use the expression "alaf alaf ألف ألف " (meaning: thousand thousand ) to refer to a million.
alaf ألف = thousand .
alaf alaf ألف ألف =thousand thousand =( 1000 x 1000 )=million .

But now the Arabs have stopped using the expression "alaf alaf ألف ألف" and instead use the word million.

look at this hadith da’eef حديث ضعيف ( hadith weak ) :

Hadith about du’a for entering the marketplace "دعاء دخول السوق" :

The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever enters the marketplace and says ‘La ilaha ill-Allahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu’l-mulku wa lahu’l-hamdu, yuhyi wa yumit wa huwa hayyun la yamut, bi yadihi’l-khayr, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir (There is no god but Allah Alone, with no partner or associate; to Him belongs sovereignty and to Him be all praise; He grants life and causes death, and He is ever-living and will never die; in His Hand is all goodness and He has power over all things),’ Allah will record for him one thousand thousand good deeds, and will erase from his record one thousand thousand bad deeds, and will raise him one thousand thousand degrees.”. (Narrated by at-Tirmidhi in as-Sunan, 3428) .
Imam at-Tirmidhi "الترمذي " described it as hadith gharib حديث غريب ( strange hadith ) .

عن جده عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه ، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال : " من دخل السوق ، فقال : لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له ، له الملك ، وله الحمد ، يحيي ويميت ، بيده الخير ، وهو على كل شيء قدير ، كتب الله له ألف ألف حسنة ، ومحا عنه ألف ألف سيئة ، ورفع له ألف ألف درجة ، وبنى له بيتا في الجنة " .
