I am reading one of my Aristocratic English Biographies of great families. My focus is on special women in one particular family and their progenies. I trail their movements via their intimate letters to each other and gather a vast knowledge of how families and human's work. Recently i made an observation. A daughter of one of the women i follow married into a new family. An upstart, ambitious family dying to climb the ladder of higher aristocracy! This daughter is used to the affectionate nature of her family, she is brilliant and very articulate in her letters which i am not surprised given where she comes from. But my irk was the family she married into. This family is wicked. ALL of them except the boy- William who married this daughter. William you would think comes from the family i admire. He is very affectionate and wise beyond his years. He would later become a prime minister for Queen Victoria. His family are poison. From his mother to his siblings. He has two other brothers and a sister. All behave so disgusting its not normal. Now the daughter is a handful i have to say- but at her core she is an affectionate human. Her and William gave birth to an autistic child. These uncles and aunt instead of supporting their nephew-- gossip in their letters to each other like no tomorrow. While the daughter's father and grandfather of the child loves his grand child. So much that when grandpa goes for vacation in france, the child would cry at the mention of his grandfather. I found that absolutely disgusting these in law are so starkly different from the daughter's family. U can say the daughter is wild and too arrogant, but u can't explain the abuse of an autistic nephew, can you?
So my reason was to point out the stark difference between this daughter, her family and the family she married into. While one family is all bad, mean, and really disgusting. The other family is affectionate, generous, loving. So much that when this wicked family mother was dying- the mother of this daughter came to be with her until her last breath.
My only conclusion is-- Families have distinct characteristics known to them alone. There is only one or two who fell far from the apple tree.
Why are they not diverse individually? Why is a family all together wicked as a unit- and another affectionate and opposite of wickedness as a unit? Is it wealth that makes the affectionate family noble and humanistic? Is it DNA???? Is the wicked family this way because they are ruff, poor brought up and dying to join this noble higher class???
What is the uniform trait of your families????
