I googled something about Ethiopian history one day and this site popped up. I read through the history section which had a lot of misconceptions so I decided to join. I never joined a forum before...I seen a lot of hate towards Ethiopia so I decided to do a crusade on this place. Then I started to like the discussions of current events etc, so I stayed.

care to name some of the misconceptions?

Is she really 5'8"? Her legs look a bit too short for a 5'8" frame. I have seen girls who played volleyball in my high school and university and 5'8" ones had seemingly unending legs.

What makes you say that ever seen world map? Eritrea is right next to Ethiopia.. Or are you mad that Asseb doesnt belong to Ethiopia anymore?

Eritrea is just a portion of Ethiopia that got colonized. They have been Ethiopian for much longer than they have been "Eritrean". The Italians did social brainwashing on them, so I can't blame them. Even their president is from Ethiopia...

But most Eris i know are proud to be Eritrean and say they have no connection with Ethiopia even some go as far to say theyre not habesha so it doesnt make sense what you said but than again im not eritrean.

Yes, that's what brainwashing is. The Italians used to beat them until they proclaimed their love for Italy and Italian Eritrea. Take Eritreans 3 generations ago, they honestly considered themselves Italian (no joke). Think about it like this, you grow up and your parents tell you that you're Chinese even though you speak the same language, have the same culture, religion, eat the same food, and essentially have everything in common between people. The kid will grow up thinking he is Chinese even though he is something else. Today they are Eritrean, but tomorrow who knows?
