Online somalis and their habit of bastardizing/ruining the language

why is it that some people on this site and on twitter insist on perversing the most nornal words into something different. take the word "xoog" for example which 99 % of the time means strength but for some reason constantly gets used to describe the action of "grape". And i know in some cases that word can be used to describe SA and what not but thats not its meaning in everyday use. bro its to the point where these days if see or hear that word even my own brain thinks of "grape" but throughout my entire life i always associated it with strength. you can also make the same case for the word j8r88r which now people think means nigg. also why am i seeing TJs,dhegcas and even other mathows use somali words its genuinely pissing me off. was in a comment section and saw a afghan/ pakistani calling people jarer.

UK niggas made j***** mainstream by using it as a slur for Madows.

I honestly have no clue why I keep seeing "xoog" on Twitter.

I’ve talked about this before it’s mainly tjs too

I hate how are culture is obsessed with qabyalaad meanwhile we need to be classist.

A lot of Somalis are just ghetto and ghettoize the language. You’ll hear people using the term bakhti which was already ghetto slang for death of a gaalo to mean a junkie/loser or whatever else.

I don’t align with the ghetto vulgar Somalis.

@wonyluvr @Vividlaaiznimo

There was a Somali guy on Twitter named Blake Griffin that use to spam xoog a lot. I wasn't sure if it was him or dark NN that made it popular.

He was the first person I saw using it in an edgy way.

Would yall believe me if I said I first heard the j word online
definetly belive you i always thought of it as some obscure word that meant rough hair until i came online i knew nothing about haplogroup or bantu or any of this bullshi. know its all i see in somali spaces. i honestly miss the days all i had was ig and the somali space i knew was maliworldent:ftw9nwa: back then somalis on the internet was just faarax and xalimo jokes and most of it only we understood now these tjs are riding our guss so hard bro

Why would they use xoog in that way. When I think of xoog I think of being told I need to use more force to open a can or bottle. And with the word Jar**r I only remember it being used one time when I was a kid to describe my hair Lol but otherwise no one uses it. Idk y these people use it on a regular basis.
