Somali sheikhs use to start settlements of believers and soldiers to get away from the chaos of Somali tribal fighting. How about we start villages of Somalis where no qabil identity is allowed and no one is allowed to take money from the UN? We would have a charter which respects traditional Somali shafici madhab and children are taught to write in Somali ajami script. @Shimbiris would be the minister of education

This social darwinist view that, "the strong do what they can while the weak suffer what they must", can easily be applied to you and any other minority or marginalized person. We must always have empathy for others as the din has taught us.

Does empathy alleviate their suffering? I don’t think so, and they aren’t a minority. They make up over 4/5ths of South Africa. They are the majority. Yet they’re being dictated to and desperately craving the attention and patronage of the white minority, which is something that baffles me. How is this possible?

Idk Africans aren’t a monolith, sharing a continent doesn’t mean all that much imo, I mean look at Asia lol. why do people think that there’s some inherent African solidarity? Hell there ain’t even Somali solidarity.

Somalis really should revert to the Arabic script. I'm genuinely gonna try my hand at normalizing it back home someday. It shouldn't be hard as most Somalis go to dugsi and the script is well known to them, sometimes even before the Latin one.
we dont speak arabic though, I mean somalis knowing arabic would be great but im a bigger proponent of knowing english and thats easier with our current script
Please carefully reread what I wrote. I wrote Arabic script. As in write Af-Soomaali in a modified Arabic script as it used to often be historically like Far Wadaad. I'm not talking about reverting to using Arabic as the language of commerce and intellectual pursuits. That's not really feasible indeed.
oh i know i went one step further somali being the main language but i think we need to be one of those nations that are bilingual
