I feel sorry for you wallahi. I felt similarly as a child. I thought it was an unfixable shithole too. But the least we can do is fix it. Have some hope and invest in your country wuth your own hard work. We will eventually get somewhere. I'm hoping you're just young and jaded.

Palestinians are all welcome, it doesn't matter what they believe about us , as long as we know the truth about ourselves and our country it's what matters. We don't discard our values and humanity to play bigot racist warfare over keyboards, it doesn't mean we worship or see any group as superior.

Arabs have a reputation for racism and indifference , Somalis have a reputation for being friendly, kind, charitable and generous. Somalis are more steadfast and unapologetic with their religion, Arabs will move out of their country to discard their religion in the west so they can be more accepted by Islamophobes. I am the first person in Somali history to reject Ayrabs, especially Levantine ones. I knew all about them since I grew up with them. They showed their racism differently. Somalis are experiencing mental enslavement and unfortunately will always be with Ayrab and Palestinian shackles even thought they don't want to shackle you and don't want you anywhere near them. I agree with you there. I agree that as a Nation state we are young. What I mean is that we've had, for a very long time, a level of shared language, culture etc. We cannot say we were a nation state however I believe we should apply a more fluid definition whilst analysing history.

Somali speaking population likely hit 1 million in 1800s. Now divide that over such large land mass due to nomadic lifestyle. When I think empires and centralized states it’s cities in hundreds of thousands and armies and bureaucracy that has authority over its people. The average somali was nomad who did own thing unlike Europe and China were peasant class was ruled with iron fist . Very short time most of Somali lands were ruled under central state

Adal was mainly populated by Somalis but also Hararis, Afars. The collection of Somali clans you recall are the ones described as being part of Ahmed grays army but there were also non-somali Muslims among adal troops.
