Palestinians online: "Anywhere is better than Somalia. They are a starving people"

Somalis are probably one of the most sympathetic people to Palestinians, as we too have had large swaths of our territory occupied by outside forces. The behavior of Palestinians should never warrant us to start siding with Zionist forces.

Plenty, however, can be said about the fact that many of them are irrational. Imagine if, during the Ogaden War, after the massive Soviet, Yemeni, and Cuban support, Barre had refused to accept a peace deal even though defeat was certain? He know that the moment they had any Somali territory in their hand that to would be gone for the forseeable future. The creation of the State of Israel was a massive mistake, but anyone who has read about the Oslo Accords and the huge mistake Arafat made understands why support for Palestinians from the Arab world became one of words rather than action.

Since Israel posses nuclear weapons, a military victory became impossible. Let's also not forget that Arabs cannot fight a conventional war due to rampant corruption and the fear of a competent military leading to a coup. This is why Israel has won so many military encounters.

Palestine has also monopolized all attention, and the responsibility for their liberation has been given to all of us, while every other struggle, our own, that of the Uyghurs, Rohingya, the Muslims of Central Africa, Darfur, and even fellow Sunni Arab Syrians, is considered their own problem. Let's be clear: the liberation of the Somali people is our own responsibility, and while help would be welcome, I do not expect it and do not view it as an obligation for others.

A leader should always do what is best for his people. A leader makes tough choices. No one on this forum has ever said Barre should have kept fighting once the Russians and Cubans, with their larger economies and manpower, arrived. No one faults him for accepting a peace deal because we intuitively know that had he not done so, we would have been corralled into a single gobol and seen even larger swaths of our land Oromized.

That is my view on the Oslo Accords. It would have given Arafat and the PLO a contiguous Palestinian state and provided their people with the breathing room and time to develop and strengthen to fight another day, but now we are here at the cusps of yet another ethnic cleansing, and some of them use their final moments to be racist against us and their fellow arabs.

Nah I'm definitely making genocide concentration camp jokes if they make racist jokes.

Fair?
Don’t listen to them if they make fun of our hardships then why shouldn’t we do the same. Some somalis love to get disrespected way soo waasheen wallahi
